Malva Rosa Revolution:
A short video from the beautiful beach in Valencia
Flying is all about personal preferences.
Nothing is right or wrong.
Too many people spend too much time in declaring details.
Spend that time in improving your flying skills.
Most improvement can be reached by the pilot him/herself

It was a stranger...passing by on the beach everytime we wanted to fly !!!

More brake makes the full sail aligned straight against the wind.
The full wind pushes in the sail and you can use all the wind available.
With less brake more amount of wind/pressure flows out of the kite via the trailing edge, so low wind flying will be easier with a bit more brake too.
To have full advantage of wind in low wind conditions its a good idea to fly with enough brake (a lot)
Personally i fly in 90% of the wind-conditions the same set-up (Full brake)
Only when flying in Megateam i prefer a little less brake (to make it easier to hover in LE-Up position)
Also in real high wind its preferable to fly with just a little less brake to release the pressure from the sail a bit easier, as said: the pressure flow out of the sail on the bottom.
(prevents from full stress on the sail, especially on the vented strip against the leading edge).
At the end its all about personal preferences......there is no setup which works for every-pilot.
For me personally the full brake set-up has proven to be the best choice.
Give it a try, it will take some time to get used to it but i am sure at the end you will be convinced.
Ejoy watching.

translated Cordula's (Sugar Mice) update for the Pilots from outside Germany:
Slowly the planning for the Clinic comes in shape. I just made a phone-call to the farmer. Unfortunately he just mowed his grass, but if the weather stays like the last few days the grass grows very slowly. It will be about 10 till 15 cm high during the clinic.I don't think that will be a problem, i hope it is not for you all either.
Will it be too high for the RC- Model-plane-pilots (i will check that) the start-and landing-track will be mowed.
Concerning Parking your cars: It is NOT allowed to park your car at the flying field. There will be an parking outside the field. It will be a road, which lies parallel to the flying field. Please park your cars there.
I may be a good idea to discuss the possibility of carpooling (So park cars at the parking-place from the Habakuk (Shop in the town) and from there drive with more pilots in one car to the flying-field/parking, this will be about 1 kilometer, please see for yourself if this can be arranged)
That's the update for now.
I will keep you all informed when i have got more information.

No discussionpoint....

The more brake the better :L
