And what exactly is the strenght ?
Maybe i would like to order too....

Hi Markus,
I am going to give the SPL Rods a try coming weekend @ Weymouth Kite Festival (UK)
Hope i can share my experience next week !
Have fun flying !!!
Bye
Marc
p.s here is another vid with the same kite in high winds : Polo VTD high winds
Weight is not the most important thing in low wind flying. It's the skills of te pilot what really makes the difference.
My personal thought: too light is NOT my preference. I like to have the feeling i have something to throw around with !
The Polo std is still my most preferred low wind-machine (with Race-Rods). when the wind picks up a bit more this kite starts to fly a bit more nervous (compared to the B(Pro)series.
The gap between the Polo STD and the Polo VTD is much smaller than the gap between the B-Series STD/VTD.
The Polo VTD goes really low...i flew it in about 10 Km/st wind (Race Rods) and it worked perfect ! Lots of precision !!
see:
Overall the Polo's feel a bit more like the spiced up versions of the Rev B-series...more reactive (so also a bit more nervous)
and fast !
Greetzz

My personal thoughts:
The Endcaps at the end of the LE are allways a bit too tight,
The endcaps at centre of the LE are too loose and the Endcaps at the bottomside of the verticals are much too loose.
I prefer to have the vertical spar- endcaps at the LE sticking out max. 1 cm with full powered sail.
Nice video Ralf !
UL makes the Polo even more Precise.
Race Rods are nice in the lower windrange of the Polo VTD (and is goes low !!! ...)
My information: there will be no difference between the Polo Serie1 and the new Polo Serie2.
Only the design is different.
In my opinion the Polo STD is the ultimate low wind kite. I prefer this one above the Zen.
The Revolution (Barresi or Pro) STD's windrange lies a bit more shifted to the upper part of the windrange.
So.. Polo starts earlier, Rev B or Pro flies better in the higher windrange (for the STD).
I have got the feeling the Polo is feeling a bit twitchy/nervous in higher winds (more than the Rev.)
Solution: i fly my Polo VTD when the wind picks up !
Exactly, The Polo VTD is even better compared to the Rev. kites.
It flies earlier (compared it with a Rev B-Pro-Mid vented !!!) and can handle more wind than the B-Pro VTD (due to the larger amount of vented panels).
I flew it last Saturday up to 65 K/h wind......smooth....
(STD/Mid-Vented and Vented) :
Frame : The 5 rods are in carbon 8 millimeters Ultra-Light 3 wrap of brand Revolution® Kites.
I can compare the Polo Revs with Barresi's and B-Pro's from Revolution.
The biggest difference between the Polo and the Barresi/Pro is the fact the Polo's fly earlier (with less wind).
I remember the day i received my Polo STD. It was @ Berck sur Mer kitefestival. Together with Andy we received our Polo's. In the evening we stood on the beach. There was about 3 km/h wind and the Polo's were flying like a miracle.
I owned a Revolution Zen too, especcially for low-wind conditions, but the Polo STD starts even earlier in low wind conditions. Plus the advantage of the lower weight of the kite makes this one for me the ultimate low-wind Rev.
Now i own the Polo Vented too. I was flying it again last Tuesday.
Another pilot flew his B-Pro Mid-Vented with Race Rods, and i was flying my Polo VTD with 3 wrap Rods (which even flew better !!!!!!)
So the Vented flies earlier too, compared to the Barresi's/Pro's.
The difference in placement of the vented panels in the Polo makes this kite perfect controllable, especially in reverse !!!!
The amount of vented surface in the Polo is more compared to the Barresi/Pro's so it will fly better too in higher winds. (bigger windrange)
This all is my opinion/experience. See for yourself what you think about these kites.
Try them when you have got the chance.
Best regards
Marc/Madquad
And best wishes all for 2012 !!!!

Go Go !!! Nick !
Hey Nick.
I give it a try !
