They are not as ridgid as the 4 wrap rods.

My opinion: I love the original Race rods...very light...very "snappy"(good flex but also a fast recovery after flexing) and strong enough (a friend of mine flew them as verticals up till 7bft wind before they broke in pieces) to fly in a standard (full sail) up till 3 Bft (after that i switch to vented Revs)
The new Green race rods have got the same snappy feeling (good flex but also a fast recovery after flexing), have almost the same weight but are much stronger. They are definitely a lot stronger than the "normal" race-rods.
So...they are my favorites at this moment for most of the circumstances. Except for low-wind flying i switch to the normal Race Rods.

I own both types of the no snag handles.
I personally prefer the colored ones.
The grips are a bit thicker, with a better feeling and the groove modification is also an improvement.

My opinion:

I prefer to use the original Revolution 3 wrap LE or the Raceframe LE combined with Raceframe Verticals.

When the wind picks up more with 3 wrap LE with a standard Rev i switch to (Mid) Vented Revs.

So.......

0 bft > 1,5 Bft : Race Frame with Standard Rev
1,5 Bft > 3 Bft : 3 Wrap LE with standard Rev
2,5 Bft > 3,5 Bft : Race Frame With Vented Rev
3.5 Bft > : 3 Wrap LE with Vented Rev

When you have got the Mid-Vented Rev you can even switch more.

It's just my idea.........

You can allso use a 3 wrap middle spar in Le combined with Race Frame Outerspars

But at the end: Find your own Set-up by combining different frames/Sails.

It's allso good to switch linelengths: Less wind - Shorter lines, More wind - Longer lines
Or...to make it even more complicated: Use different handles: Less wind - Longer Handles, More wind - Shorter handles

Its still a puzzle !!!!! ehehehehe

Put your verticals on the other side of the kite
and the bridle allso on the other side

DONT forget he is one of the best rev-pilots on this planet.

And the kite he flies is not a JB but a SLE as far as i can see.

Try the rev-JB series with the original Rev- Race - Rods.

They are the best you can get......

Much more "snappy", so quick/snappy turns, even with lower winds

When you get used to them they are really great.

"Thank you for your enquiry about the JB, unfortunately we are currently out of stock of all Revolution kites. Also due to the currency exchange, it is not viable to order any more kites in from the USA until the Sterling Pound becomes stronger.

Please try Bristol Kite Store as they may well have some kites left from this season.
