Epic sunday during the 2017 bootcamp at the XXXXL beach in Burch-Haamstede. Very good wind (sul in the morning, std in the afternoon), a lot of sun, a great crew and heaps of bad jokes. Here's a little impression of the day. Enjoy!

I think that this frame should work very well. The only thing i don't like personally is the 2mm standoffs. Too weak for wrapped flight. The extra weight in this spot might even help for the balance.

When i first saw the Trickshow VHS tape from Prism (+/- 1997) i wanted to have a Eclipse in white/grey/teal so bad! I found my holy grail kite in 2009 and it turned out to be the Super Ultralight version with Avia G-Force UL frame. Not that light compared to modern SUL kites but a certainly a lot stiffer then the STD Eclipse. Morning session at the enormous Zandmotor beach in a smooth yet substantial sea breeze. Enjoy!

Just some footage of the Magnet kite shot during our holiday on the lovely Sardinia island in Italy. Winds were challenging but it was still a lot of fun. The Magnet open source trickkite (designed by David Rüger) folds down to a small package so it's a very convenient travel kite.

I would advice to change the standoff-connectors on the lower spreaders. Those clip on type fittings eat your bridle and slide/pop off when doing lazies.

Ehm, i didn't measure the position and took them off allready. To be honest, i didn't need them at all.

This episode of Back To The Old School covers Psycho's bigger and older brother is : the Flexifoil Stranger designed by Andy Preston. Flown at the Zandmotor beach in light and moderate wind. Thanks to Chris Wojtas for providing his pristine Stranger. No mods, except for the temporary clip-on yoyo stoppers and i removed the trickline for this session. Enjoy!

Already the 4th edition of the La Ronde Des Vents festival at Bray-Dunes, France. We had a lovely, yet windy weekend. Nice weather, great friends, some beers and BBQ and a lot of kites. Many thanks to the LRDV organisation and all the participants for another epic edition. Great job! Hope to see you all next year. Enjoy the (longish) video!

I know what you mean with full nylon kites. They feel 'soft' mos of the times. But it's actually quite good. Feels like a Sixth Sense just faster and smaller inputs. This kite is based on a .85 build by Davide Equizzi himself which Krijn bought.

So is it a Sixth Sense? It is in my book.

Episode 20! In this episode we fly the Sixth Sense .85: a scaled down version of the Sixth Sense by Stuntkite Palermo (Davide Equizzi). I borrowed Chris Wojtas' kite (thanks!) which is built in nylon spinnaker fabric and a 6mm pultruded carbon and Skyshark frame. Flown at Eendrachtspolder in light to moderate wind. Enjoy!

This episode of Back to the Old School features the Flexifoil Psycho: the frantic little brother of the Stranger. I bought my Psycho (the yellow/purple version) when i saw the VHS at a kiteshop. My other Psycho (Red/Blue) was a gift from Pierre Terbogt. Both kites are modified (turbo bridle/yoyo stoppers/tailweight/w-trickline) to make it a bit less crazy in normal flight and to add some modern trick capabilities. The video was shot on the lovely Terschelling beach. Enjoy!

Nice! I will put it on the builds page!

The main thing i like about trick kites is that each kite has it's own character. Both positive and negative quirks make for a unique feel. That's why i like to fly lot's of different kites. To me, the idea of the search of the 'perfect' kite is boring.

The classic R-Sky Nirvana Standard is a great kite for windy days. Loud, slow and precise. Might be one of the best panel layouts in the industry, especially with the dark grey instead of black. Flown at the Zandmotor beach near Kijkduin, Holland. Enjoy!

After seeing the Prism Trickshow VHS and visiting the Prism demo in Almere i had 2 holy grails: i wanted to have both the Eclipse and the Illusion. Preferably in teal. It took about 16 years to find a teal Eclipse but i was able to buy a used teal-fade illusion from a dutch pilot in 1998. The sail is worn and knackered but it still flies very nice. Last week, on a lovely evening, i rode my bicycle to the beach near Ter Heijde and the wind was perfect for the good old illy. Enjoy.

It's kinda like a snappy double axel.

Took the good old Gem for a spin at the amazing Maasvlakte beach. Wind was barely enough but had a blast anyway. It needs some (a lot!) re-adjustment input wise since it’s so much different compared to recent, straight LE kites. Enjoy!
