Very nice Simon,
Curious how it flies/performs, since the STD's windrange goes quite low already.
What frame did you use?
I will add the picture to the [Return] builds page!

new plan file with measurements is online!
A new kite design by Birger Garbe (Ulzburger Kites) called [Return] is featured in episode 23 of Open Source Trickkites. Flown in light winds at a very nice spot near Rhoon. The [Return] turns out to be a very efficient design and tricks quite easily. It feels familiar compared to Birger production kite (End of Line) but the [Return] is clearly designed more towards tricks. Big thanks to Birger and Philip Garbe for designing and releasing the kite and plans publicly.

Very nice, Thorsten! I'll put it on the builds page:

And here's mine (built by Ulzburger):
Ein herzliches Dankeschön an clifford für die großzügige Beteiligung an den Entwicklungskosten. Noch mehr freue ich mich aber darüber, dass der Magnet auch mehrere Jahre später in so unterschiedlichen Formen vielen Menschen Freude bereitet!
Yes, great stuff David. Magnet still going strong.
Just a small impression of a fun weekend with the Tricksparty NL crew at Wind Festival 2017 @ De Koog, Texel. A bit of rain but great wind on Saturday with a very nice late afternoon sun and seabreeze. Sunday started off-shore with sun and storm in the afternoon. Thanks Windfestival team and all people involved. See you next year!
Time for an IckyTV vid, Carlo?
Would love to hear your feedback on the Return. Love the fade colours.
Well, maybe... ![]()
Danke schon Birger! Very nice kite. Super building quality. Hoping on some time and nice wind this weekend.
Great stuff, Birger!
Honoured to host another great kite design on my site. Open Source Trickkites FTW!
Added it to the builds page!
Another epic weekend at strand Duinoord, Den Helder. Enjoy the video!
OSTK Episode 22: Le Neutron UL | IckyTV
Open Source Trickkites episode 22 showcases Le Neutron Ultralight designed by Christian Derefat. This sail was made by Christian and framed (3pt/5mm structil) and bridled (3 point) by Fred Blok. Thanks to Wilfred Legebeke for providing the kite! Flown in some NSFW seawind at the Zandmotor beach. A lot of fun to fly and very capable in the tricks department, especially for a 12 (?) years old design. Enjoy!
You can find the original Le Neutron plans here:

i have a original sail, but framed it myself. I will have a look when i get home.

Episode 21 of Open Source Trickkites features the Mini Mohawk prototype by Robert Randolph (AirOeuvre). I received it in 2008 but didn’t really get along with it. Found the sail again in the shed and decided to frame it in all 6 mm pultruded carbon rods. Very nice little kite. Guess i wasn’t ready for it back then. Flown in some very nice Terschelling island evening wind. Enjoy!
Plans of the original Mohawk are available here (just scale down to 87,5%):

First proper session with the 90Nine Standard which is the mid-size brother of the 90Three kite. Framed in Nitro ULE and LS, Nitro Strong LLE and 5pt Spine. Mucho gracias to Krijn for the sail! Beach of choice: Zwarte Pad, Scheveningen. Very nice seabreeze, despite the code yellow storm warning. Never trust the forecast at the coast! Brought the cam with nearly empty battery so i had to work with the minimal amount of footage i could shoot. Enjoy!
