Just for the looks!
Very nice SUL Ingwehr. I'll put the picture on the site.

Okay, so we found a mistake in the plans for the Essence STD. The position of the centercross is too high. Should be 52,5 cm from top of the nose to the center of the cross. Apologies!!! Plan files are fixed.
Just a quick edit of some winter flying with the Kitehouse SIN UL at Bergboezem polder. Still one of my favourite kites and the colors suit the conditions very well.
Cool, i've added the picture to the builds page. What frame did you use? Did you try it?
IckyTV kicks off 2017 with a video of the 100Sixteen kite. This is the 116% version of the 90Three which makes it a fullsize 260cm wingspan kite and the overall weight is 349 gr. Similiar compared to the 90Three but much slower in tricks and performs very well in lower windspeeds, probably due to it's size. Flown at Bergboezem polder near Rotterdam, Holland. Enjoy!
Nope. Nothing. And it is still Krijn's kite.
For the 17th episode of Open Source Trickkites i borrowed (thanks!) Krijn's Mini Fluid: a scaled down version of the Fluid precision/trickkite designed by Stephane Radday. Flown at the Rottemeren near Rotterdam, Holland in a light but steady breeze.
Plans of the full sized Fluid kite can be found here: http://www.drachenwiki.de/index.php/Fluid_(Bauplan)
Some NKOTB footage shot at Eendragtspolder a few weeks ago. The New Kite On The Blok is a Open Source trickkite by Fred Blok. Plans here: http://www.kareloh.com/kite-plans/new-kite-on-the-blok/
Nice one! It's also on the builds page now: http://www.kareloh.com/kite-plans/2175-2/sixth-sense-builds/
Danke schon, Birger.
The link to the original plans in the first page of the topic is dead.
I found this link: http://www.lmnt-air.info/dotcl…/raph1PatternOverview.pdf
Is there any more info? The specs like height and width and maybe a mirror to the original plan?
Great to hear!
Just ignore the loose sail, if it's flies good.
Any news on the 112 SUL, Simon?
And no ...
It is not a Kitehouse nose.
It is a Tricktail 200 nose ...
Regards, Jens
Thanks for the historylesson, Jens!
If you didn't use a kitehouse style nose construction i would strongly advice you to change this.
The red arrows indicate where to measure from.
Measurements (Nose sewing to…)
Upper spreader center TAPA: 33 cm
Yoyo stopper center: 57 cm
Lower spreader center APA: 91 cm
Cross center: 58 cm
Bridle point on spine: 62 cm (4cm below cross)
Wow, very cool colors on the kite. I'll put the picture on my site.
It's hard to judge from that picture, but it looks like the upper spreader is higher in the kite then it should be.
In my version the upperspreader position is on top of the orange panels (see 2). It looks higher in yours, at least above the yellow.
Also the yoyo-stoppers are higher on the LE on your version. My version has the stoppers in line with the seam (see 1).
Also hard to judge from a picture but then the lower APA's on our version must be higher as well.
Did you use a "kitehouse" style nose construction? Like this:
It looks like you fitted a normal nose. This means the measurements are different because of that.
I'll have a look at my kite tonight and will see if the provided measurements on the site are correct.
Well, i don't think the LE's should be the cause of the taz and slot problems.
My version is with p90/100 LE's and isn't that stiff either. Still it does the tricks fine.
Are the positions of the apa's accurate?
You have to take in account that SUL tricking is a bit different from tricking with a STD version. The inputs can be different and slack management is very important. Also guiding the kite through the rotations.
Do you have a picture of your kite?
Flying the 90Three STD at Katwijk beach in moderate wind with some rolling susan and taz combinations. Enjoy!
