Changed version!
One of the true classics in my bag: the High Level by Level One Kites. All FSD Connectors dried out and cracked so i had to replace them.
Took it for a spin and this little edit is the result. It is a Old School kite but capable of some newer moves...
Enjoy in HD!
One year ago the idea was born to do the Open Source Trickkite video series. Very proud to launch episode 12 featuring one of my favourite kites: Magnet 112% SUL. Flown in almost no wind and overcast conditions at the Haarrijnse plas in Utrecht. 'Slooooooow' is the word that comes to mind when flying and tricking. Enjoy in HD!

Nice! Added to the page.
It's may 11th. Open Source Trickkites episode 11 features the B'ZAR 2011 trickkite (another design by Werner Hulstaert) flown at IJmuiden beach in moderate to light winds. Thanks to Stephan for providing the kite to fly (and break again...;). Enjoy in HD!
Plans are available here:

Also added the specs for the Magnet 112% SUL on the site:
Flying Christian Derefat's Vortex UL at the Haarrijnse Plas, Utrecht. Another great open source trickkite design by our belgian friend. Very pitchy and a lot of fun to fly. Thanks to Fred Blok for providing the kite. Enjoy in HD!

We were in Zeebrugge Belgium this weekend for the Tricksparty competition. Saturday wind were moderate and sunday it was a smooth sea breeze. I brought the EOL offcourse and even used it to fly the competition. Very nice for tricksparty ballet. It's articulate in tricks and precise with nice feedback without too much pull.
A lot of the other pilots also tried the EOL and i recieved only positive comments.
Below are a few pictures.
The TP Zeebrugge crew.
Flying pair with Lars (Sin UL)
Lars on the lines
Wouter (Winner of the weekend) checking out the EOL
Tricksparty Judge Harold was very positive about the EOL too
Krijn giving the EOL a beating
Oh yes! Smoooooooth. Something new (and bigger) by Tim Benson/Chis Goff.
A quick search gave me this info:
Wingspan:135 cm / 53 inches
Height:0.54 m / 21 inches
Weight:120 gms / 4.6 ozs
Sail type:Ripstop nylon
Frame:4 mm carbon rod
Wind Range:7-50 kph / 4-30 mph
Skill level:novice to expert
Line strength:45 kg / 100 lb
Line length:25 m / 80 ft
Nothing on spar lengths... yet.
I tried the Xtro a few times when it came out. Lot's of fun.
Very happy to say that this is now MY EOL! Thanks Birger! I'll treat it well and it will travel to a few festivals this season for other pilots to try it...
Episode 9 of Open Source Trickkites features a design by Werner Hulstaert from Belgium: B'zar 2009. Flown in very turbulent suburbian wind near Berlijnplein in Utrecht, Holland. Thanks to Wim and Wouter Eskens for supplying the kite.
Plans of this version (and newer versions) are available here:

A little background info from my website:
90three STD
This is a little trickkite experiment i did recently. Started off with a shape i really liked: my Vendetta by Shawn Tinkham. Altered the shape by scaling it down to 93% and changed the trailing edge by cutting it a fraction higher. The position of the lowerspreader/center cross is a bit higher on the spine as well. Fitted single standoffs per side and added a Kitehouse style nose. Also made a little panel layout so i could use some icarex scraps (Vendetta’s have nylon sail material).
Turned out to be a nice tricker with a great taz machine and a deeper backflip. Backspins are better as well. Still quite slow and precise in flight. The signature Vendetta slotmachines are a bit lost. Maybe a little tweaking can bring those back. I’m not intending to share the plans publicly, since it is based on a kite that used to be available commercially. Krijn Hemminga was interested in building one as well so we both have a matching kite to do some pair trick flying.
Evening session with the 90Three STD at Molenviergang, Zevenhuizen. Wind was very variable and bumpy. Enjoy in HD.
First proper session with the 90Three SUL (perfectly build by Krijn Hemminga) at the Scheveningen beach. Great kite for relaxed low wind freestyle flying. Pretty precise too. Enjoy in HD.
