Short video of the Escape flown by Lars:
Quicky #1: Lars | Escape STD | IckyTV
Lars flying the Ulzburger Kites Escape Standard at the Zandmotor beach. The Escape is a open source kite designed by Birger Garbe. Great tracking, slow flight/good speedcontrol and huge wind window. The feedback is very consistent and even in stronger winds it doesn't pull very hard. Build one! You won't be disappointed.

Still a cool picture!
Had some more flying time with the Escape STD in different wind conditions. This is such a solid kite! I love how it behaves both in light and stronger winds. Great tracking, slow flight/good speedcontrol and huge wind window. The feedback is very consistent and even in stronger winds it doesn't pull hard.
I love the taz, multilazy and comete, but almost everything is nice.
Only thing we struggle with it Spikes. Can't get them very consistent on the Escape. Maybe because of the Aurell LE.

Nice! Added to the builds page!
Winter in Holland! Finally some snow, ice and nice wind to enjoy. Brought the Level One BadAss ultralight sportkite to Boezempolder for a morning session after ice skating. So much fun on the lake!
Another small video from my Terschelling trip. This time i fly the MugenKites Ziggy STD. Winds were a little offshore and bumpy but the weather was great! The Ziggy is a solid kite, love the way feels in flight and tricks. The Nitro frame works realy well. Thanks once again to Gabor for providing a kite for me to test for a while.

Looks like a 81% version of the Unik/Baz.
That's true also. not much difference. But Tim keeps his prices around the 255 pound mark, which is a good price point IMHO.
I hope the price stays in the Benson range, so below €300,-
300+ would be too much for a 190cm kite IMHO.
Something new from France! Great video included.

Nom : Antidote
Envergure : 190cm
@karel_oh i'll take a nice picture outside and post it here for your building page.
Thanks a bunch! Trying to keep all the builds of open source kites up to date.
A very nice Escape in slate, light grey, dark grey and technic icarex build by Krijn for Ronald Kuijpers.
Correction: the middle part is not Light Grey... it's the new Middle Grey Icarex.
Ich möchte hier meinen neuen Escape UL zeigen.
Ooow. Very nice indeed. I would love to have a outside picture of the kite for the Builds page!
Ja, das steht ja auch deutlich im Testbericht und darauf hat Carlo ja nun auch verwiesen im Vorfeld. So what?

Let's get back on topic. It's a interesting discussion, but this is not the place.
Then you should mention that in the video.
Luckily i may decide myself what i should and shouldn't do. ![]()
