  • Neox | EOLO Sport | IckyTV

    The Neox trick kite by EOLO Sport was released in 2006. This ready to fly package was great value for money, just like it's brother: the Over. Equiped with Ventex sail, Dynamic DT frame, Dyneema lineset with straps and a padded sleeve it was all you needed to get into trick flying with a capable kite without going bankrupt. My Neox is the later Icarex version. Here's a short clip of the Neox flown in pretty strong sea wind at Meijendel Beach. Lines, landings and a few tricks. It was a fun session!

  • 90Six | IckyTV

    Krijn had a slightly smaller print of the 90Nine templates lying around and decided to build 2 sails: hence the name “90Six”. My version is framed in single piece 6mm Exel Cruise lowerspreader and spine, 5,5 mm Structil leading edges and 5 mm upper spreader. I quite like it, especially with the leech line completely loose. Nice feedback, slow in flight and reasonably precise. This video was shot at “Het Drenkelingenhuisje” located on the beach near De Boschplaat (UNESCO) nature reserve on the uninhabited eastern part of Terschelling island. Well worth the bike ride and hike. Enjoy!

  • Level One BadAss Superultralight | IckyTV

    The SUL is the (almost) no wind version of Level One's popular BadAss sport kite. The pultruded frame combination and sail construction makes this kite 60 grams lighter (200 grams) compared to the UL version. Veeeeeery sloooooow in flight and tricks. This video was made in a barely noticeable morning sea breeze at Paal 7 beach, Terschelling. Enjoy!

    Our late friend Pierre ter Bogt introduced us to this wonderful flying spot: the enormous north beach of Burgh Haamstede in Zeeland, The Netherlands. Lars and me flew his 90Three Ultralight kite in a very nice sea breeze. We miss you, Piet!

  • l'Atelier X-Masque Rage

    The X-Masque by l'Atelier Kites is the small version of the their iconic Masque sportkite. The Rage version with it's Avia G-force Exel wrapped carbon frame is aimed at radical freestyle. Not the easiest kite to trick but very rewarding in the right wind conditions. Flown at Meijendel beach in a very nice sea breeze. Here's a little impression of a fun afternoon.

    Cool! I have to try a SUL at some point. The UL goes very low allready.


    As a extra tip to add to the advice from the other comments: try not to cross your arms in front of you when doing axels and 540's. I did this as well when i came back into kite flying because it was the way a few pilots in the oldschool trickvideo's did the inputs. It works for some tricks but it will really restrict you when learning other stuff. It takes a while to unlearn, but it's worth it!!
