"Magnet" - Bauplan

    Ich stelle mir gerade eher die Frage, warum die Slot nicht funktioniert. Kannst du mal ein Video posten?

    So nen leichter Schlag auf den Kopf erhöht doch das Denkvermögen.

    Wow, very cool colors on the kite. I'll put the picture on my site.


    It's hard to judge from that picture, but it looks like the upper spreader is higher in the kite then it should be.


    In my version the upperspreader position is on top of the orange panels (see 2). It looks higher in yours, at least above the yellow.
    Also the yoyo-stoppers are higher on the LE on your version. My version has the stoppers in line with the seam (see 1).






    Also hard to judge from a picture but then the lower APA's on our version must be higher as well.


    Did you use a "kitehouse" style nose construction? Like this:




    It looks like you fitted a normal nose. This means the measurements are different because of that.



    I'll have a look at my kite tonight and will see if the provided measurements on the site are correct.

    If you didn't use a kitehouse style nose construction i would strongly advice you to change this.



    The red arrows indicate where to measure from.


    Measurements (Nose sewing to…)
    Upper spreader center TAPA: 33 cm
    Yoyo stopper center: 57 cm
    Lower spreader center APA: 91 cm
    Cross center: 58 cm
    Bridle point on spine: 62 cm (4cm below cross)

    The only thing which i do not like that much is that with the changes my sail is a bit "loosely" (specially in the area near the yoyo stoppers) ... but this should be my fault while sewing


    Maybe i will sew a new sail ... when i find the time ... but there are still so many kites to be build ;)

    it flies god ... taz is still a bit tricky ... don't know why ... but it is doable ... slot is easy now
    ... may just need a bit of time with the kite ;)

    Sieht aufgebaut noch schicker aus, als auf dem Schneidetisch ohnehin schon. Ist wirklich ne sehr schöne Farbwahl! :thumbsup:
    Freut mich, dass das Segel für Freude auf der Wiese sorgt! :)

    Ich habe einen ganzen Satz Avia Skinny UL übrig, die ich für einen SUL 112% Magnet vorgesehen habe.

    die Skinny's sind bei so großen Drachen mit Vorsicht zu genießen. Ein falscher Tipstap oder eine Böe und sie knacken dir so weg.
    Ich hab die Erfahrung gemacht, das SkyShark 2PT's ein halbarere Alternative sind. Zur Not setze sie in der LK nach oben.

    Da ist mein Empfinden komplett anders, die Skinny SUL halten meiner meinung nach eine Menge aus sogar bei STD Wind.


    Die Skinny UL sind was das engeht wirklich empfindlicher für einen Magnet SUL hätte ich gar keine bedenken das sie nicht funktionieren.

    Danke Bernd für deine Einschätzung, aber auch Danke Thorsten für deine Meinung.


    Ich werde fürs Erste die Leitkante komplett in Skinny UL machen, den gekürtzen Stab zur Flügelspitze hin.
    Als uQS plane ich 2PT und für die StandOffs 2mm Stäbe.


    Unschlüssig bin ich mir noch beim Kielstab: P100, P1X oder 3PT ??
    Was würdet ihr empfehlen (und warum)?


    Der Plot ist morgen abholbereit :)
