For the 80Four SUL I used P90's five times and 2PT spreaders.

Please try it. It is like tricking with a STD kite, but in very low winds.

I had this kite before and used the same frame for my 80Four becasue it worked so amazingly well:

I've already built a 90Three VTD, STD and SUL and I'm interested in building this Mid VTD, but I can't find the plan on kareloh's website. Do you know if it is Open Source ? and if so, where can I find it and the specs, please ?

I'd like to build my first kite in Cuben and it will be a 90Three SUL. For those of you who already use this fabric, can you confirm that this is the right one here:https://www.extremtextil.de/en…sqm.html?number=70284.WEI I have not found a retailer in France. Does this fabric work in the same way as Icarex or are there any tricks or precautions to be taken? As ExtremTextil doesn't have any colours, I'd like to add the two colour panels from the 90Three in Icarex. Do you think it's possible to mix both fabrics?

They have the white and the black cuben too.

It's definitely not the same to build with Cuben like Icarex. But here are some good builders with experience with this fabrics. Hope you became some information.

For me Cuben was as easy to work with as with Icarex. Cutting, Taping, Sewing, feels allmost the same. Only bends and wrinkels will never vanishout but easly go into the fabric.

Colored cuben is hard to get here in Europe. That is something that has to be imported from USA.

Peter Maternus (PAW Kites) hat z.B. beim Pumbaa XSLW für das Segel, Cuben und Icarex verwendet.

In meiner Tasche ist auch ein 90Three SUL Cuben. Geiler Kite mit Purple / Aubergine 🍆 Cuben.

Das ist eine gute Frage Ich weiß es eigentlich nicht so genau. Ich dachte daran, Spi zu verwenden, wie bei allen meinen (S)ULs. Für diejenigen, die bereits mit Cuben gebaut haben, was verwenden Sie?

Das Problem bei einer Leitkante aus Spi an einem Cube Kite ist das unterschiedliche Dehnungsverhalten, vor allem wenn es feucht wird.

Leitkantentaschen aus Spi finde ich generell suboptimal. Ein bisschen Feuchtigkeit und es dehnt sich sehr stark. Zumindest das gängige Material, welches mir bekannt ist.

Habe schon verschiedene Lösungen gesehen. Zum Beispiel LK Taschen aus Polyester oder stärkeres Cuben. Ich selbst, nähe aber keine Segel.

OK, danke für deinen Tipp. Da ich keinerlei Erfahrung mit Cuben habe, bin ich für alle eure guten Ideen offen.

Eine Leitkante aus Cuben ist optimal. Wenn es richtig stabil werden soll auch auch das Hybrid Cuben (Woven), aber das ist für einen Sul eigentlich übertrieben. 24g cuben ist für einen leichten SUL für mich die beste Variante.
