Hier auch mal mein Std XP, perfekt gebaut von Coyote:
Also added to the builds page! Nice one. Have to try the XP one time, but I don't want to change my STD build by Birger.

Daniel Szobel: sorry again for my
NIce! Added the picture to the builds page! https://www.kareloh.com/kite-plans/break/break-builds/
The Matrix is a open source trick kite designed by Mario di Biase and Alberto Cavati from Italy (custom sail design by me) which was also featured in OSTK episode 24. Finally some cold and dry winter weather! Had to take advantage of the frozen meadows. Wind was quite variable but still fun! Enjoy!

Here's a little video recap of 2023. Best wind and wishes to all for 2024!
The ONE by German kite manufacturer Level One is a so called "Cruiser Kite" developed by Peter Maternus (PAW). It's slow and precise and suitable for beginners. Not specifically designed for tricks (no yoyo stoppers for instance), however it is capable of freestyle moves. The shape is rather unusual and no upper spreader and leech line are fitted in this kite. Flown with short lines at De Zandmotor beach in a smooth winter breeze. Enjoy!
This autumn has been straight up *$%# for flying kites. Wet, too windy and cold. So when the forecast finally showed some dry and calm winter weather I just had to hop on the bike and head straight to the beach. Just barely enough wind to fly the BadAss UL by Level One. Great light and skies though. Enjoy the little clip of the session!
Nice! Added to the builds page.
Autumn on the island usually means a lot of wind but I found a little window of opportunity to fly the Lazarus XL. The XL is the larger version of MugenKites' open source kite Lazarus. This sail was built by Gabor (thanks so much!!!) and it's a true work or art. Enjoy!

Alles anzeigenGuten Tag,
Hier ist also mein Beitrag:
Nicht genug Wind... noch nicht wirklich getestet^^.
Nochmals vielen Dank an alle!
Viel Spaß beim Fliegen.
Nice one! I've added the photo to the builds page:
The OneEleven is a fullsize (260cm) sportkite designed by Grischa Koenig and produced by Level One. Originally equiped with a full pultruded carbon frame and later also available in versions with an upgraded frame. The OneEleven flown in this video was reframed with Skyshark 5PT and P2X. This large wing performs very well in the lightest wind, probably due to it's highly efficient sail shape. Flown in next to no wind at Lies Beach on one of the best kite flying places on earth: Terschelling. Lines are 40lbs, 30 meters. Thanks yet again Matthieu for providing the kite. Enjoy!
yeah, i know what you mean. I think it's called a Fruit Rollup or something like that. Fun move. Thanks
The Silver Fox 2.5 by Flying Wings was designed and produced around 2007-2008(ish). The kite flown in this video is the UL version. All Dynamic rods in the frame. It's quite a large wing being fullsize and it flies in very little wind. It does however have enough mass to trick easily and well. This is a very readable and forgiving kite with a great trick repetoire and some very comfortable feedback when flying lines and corners. This kite is also on loan from Matthieu Bernard. Can't thank Mattt enough for providing yet another kite to feature in a video. Flown and filmed by Lars and me at De Zandmotor on a rather warm September day. Enjoy.
Christian Derefat brought one of his prototype kites to a Tricksparty competion in the east of Holland around 2006/2007. The working title was Virus2. It was aimed to be good at the higher value tricks in the Tricksparty system. That proto became the Diablis and Christian flew his own in a few competitions. R-Sky then started producing the kite "under license". And, as with a lot of licensed designs by other companies, it didn't exactly turn out to be what was originally intended by the designer. Later on, the (bridle) specifications of Christian surfaced online and people tweaked their kites to spec. The Diablis flown in this video on loan from Matthieu Bernard from France and is in CD spec. Flown during a break of a very nice gravel ride trough the southern islands and Zeeland at Ouddorp beach in a lovely sea breeze. Enjoy!
The specs on KiteClique:
The Shuriken Omega sportkite by Spirit Of Air was their flagship competition model in the mid to late 90's. Framed in Avia G-Force UL and pultruded high modulus rods it performs quite well in low to moderate winds. Flown at the enormous Paal 3 beach on the Terschelling island in the north of Holland. This Omega is on loan from Matthieu Bernard! Thanks Matt!
The Canardo by Drôle d'Oiseau from France is a scaled down "freestyle" version of the Canard pair/team sportkite. It was designed by their top pilots LaDole and K2. Quite a fun kite with nice feedback and snappy corners. This particular Canardo was provided by Matthieu Bernard. Thanks Matt! Flown at "De Zandmotor" beach in a very smooth sea wind.

Early birds get the worms. We had a great early morning session at the Schouwen Noordstrand, Burgh-Haamstede with some very nice winds. Kite flown is the 90Three standard Open Source Trickkite. You can find a link to the plans below. Stuntman Lars risked his life to get the shots. Enjoy!
Plan Files:
The squeezed carbon pipe is not strong, it is always split, and several broken ones are broken. I hope the arrow shaft version will be launched as soon as possible. Suffering, want to cry.
Which tubes are you using? My Break with 6mm LE feels quite strong.
Another Break, this time it's Paul Eiler's from the USA.
We had a blast during our first visit to the (6th) Renesse International Kite Festival with nice weather, good atmosphere and some (very) strong winds. Many thanks to all people involved! Enjoy the video.
