Where are you from JonB ?
I like it, old school vibes.
Nice! I would like an outside pic for the builds page.
New N3O video
The N3O by True Element Kites was developed by Kirbisbirne . It's a light weight sportkite (3pt LS) without an upper spreader but it can handle more wind than one might think. Lars and I flew it on a very warm mid september day at Zandmotor beach with extremely variable off shore wind. Still it was a lot of fun to fly. Looking forward to test it some more in good wind. Enjoy!

the clip goes on the end of the LLE.
Another clip of a holiday session from a few weeks ago. This time with the 90Three STD on 40 meter lines. Enjoy!

New Magnet 112% video:
The 112% is the larger brother of David Rüger's open source kite design "Magnet". The kite in this video is the super ultralight version. Slow and quite precise in flight and articulate in the execution of tricks. Single pop yoyo's are possible but 2 pops have a better succes rate. Flown in a very light sea breeze at Formerum Beach, Terschelling.

This full Nitro Widow Maker sportkite by Sky Burner was kindly lend to me by Ronald van Zijl (thanks!!!). I brought it on a trip to the dutch Wadden island Terschelling and I shot this video during the first session in very nice and stable sea breeze at Formerum beach. Lines used: 50kg, 40 meters Climax Protec. The graphics on this kite are not really my cup of tea but it sure is distinctive and it has a great presence in the sky. Nice feedback on the lines and quite easy to trick. Wasn't able to do any acceptable tazmachines though. It deserved a slightly longer video, so here you go... enjoy!
The 90Three80 is a 180 cm wide version of the 90Three sportkite. Named before we had the naming convention dialed in. The kite was a gift from our late friend Pierre ter Bogt. Since it was Pierre who introduced us to this Burgh-Haamstede beach spot it was only fitting to fly his kite there. We still miss Pierre a lot...

not my kind of kiting, but an awesome performance
Thanks!!
The Essence range of freestyle sportkites was designed by Pim Kusters. This is the SUL version with Skyshark 2PT LE and 3PT LS. The wind at De Slufter was a bit weird and variable but it still was a lot of fun. Enjoy!
More info about the Essence sportkite:
Here's a little edit of our annual midsummmer kite weekend in Burgh-Haamstede, Zeeland. Good winds, lovely weather and a bunch of good friends. Additional filming by Bram and Lars. Enjoy!
I also have one of those classic Geminis. And I'm always debating with myself if I should mod it or leave it as it is. The Video is giving the modding voices in my head a strong push
Yeah, I did the modifications back then in 2007/2008 or something based on the pimp your gem article and ABW's bridle. It's a hard one... Right now I would probably keep it original and maybe look for a modern Gemini instead.
Spring has been record breaking rainy and very windy. The forecast was finally looking promising. Rode my bike from Rotterdam to Oostvoorne beach to fly a kite I bought second hand in 2007: the Benson Gemini. This is the classic version with the Structil frame and some mods: bridle, rollbars, trickline, tailweight. Last time I flew it was in 2017. Still a lot of fun. Enjoy!
The modern version of the Gemini is still available from Benson Kites:
