The seam allowance (nahtzugabe) is correct. The dacron should be in the middle of the seam, not like on the blueprint (i'll change it in the PDF file).
Thanks for pointing this out!

NKOTB Sunday Afternoon
Sunday afternoon session with the open source NKOTB (design by Fred Blok) in rather warm yet bumpy wind. Watch in HD! Enjoy.
Hi Thokat,
my old Essence sail has ha a nose job as well. The original nose was replaced.
I can make a picture of the nose i did on my new sail.
Le Neutron is one of Christian Derefat's earlier trickkite designs (2004/2005). OSTK Episode 6 features a STD version flown in moderate wind at De Haarrijnse Plas in Utrecht. Thanks Fred and Winneke Blok for lending their kite to me.
Plans are available here: http://www.kiteplans.org/pln_1436/
Watch in HD! Enjoy...

First proper flying with the Kitehouse Sharp UL during my lunchbreak at the Willem-Alexanderpark in Utrecht.
Watch in HD! Enjoy.
Without rollbars it's not too different. Maybe you have to experiment with the tailweight.
The Essence has a normal nose (not like p3 or Kitehouse kites)
My Sharp UL:
This particular kite is framed with p100 LE’s, 3pt BD LS, Gforce SUL spine and 5 mm pultruded US. The 2 grey panels near the nose/LE are nylon for more billow effect. Very nice color combi in Light Grey, White and (i think) Mango. The Sharp has a deeper backflip compared to the Sin. Cyniques are there and it does great 2 pop roll-ups. Backspins are nice and flat and Taz’z are very nice also.
Just finished a new Essence STD to replace my old White/Slate version.
The sky-blue panels are double layered for more 'color pop'. Flew it for the first time today, but need to try in more wind.
Episode 5 of OSTK features the Essence trickkite and consists of two parts. This is the second part featuring the STD version. The sail is getting really old and is full of holes and tape. Still flies great but in desperate need of a replacement sail. Watch in HD!
Episode 5 of OSTK features the Essence trickkite and consists of two parts. This is the first part featuring the Super Ultralight version. Shot on a very relaxing afternoon in late september on the gorgeous beach of Terschelling, Holland.
It doesn't have to be expensive:

Making a schablone/template and spraypaint it won't have te same crisp/clean result.
Thanks!
I'm using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro CC 2015.
Shot in ProTune and i used the Free Ground Control LUT for quick color correction.
OSTK episode 4 features the Sixth Sense kite designed by Davide Equizzi (Stuntkite Palermo) at the beach at Duindorp, Scheveningen. A great open source polyvalent competition kite. The plans were offline for a while because of problems with the Stuntkite Palermo blog. They are now available here: http://www.kareloh.com/kite-plans/2175-2/
Wow, i didn't even see that.
Yes, the Standoffs should be much more away from the spine.
Apa standoff position on Lower Spreader: from end of LS rod at the centercross: 29,5 cm
The standoff should here:
That is correct: Measured from the line in the picture.
Since the Sixth Sense plans were offline for while allready, i asked Davide if i could host the plans on my website. So here they are:
Finally found some time to draw up the original Essence STD sail plan using Pim's original templates. You can find on the page linked below:
