    This episode of BTTOS features the classic Outer Space by Benson Kites. This kite is framed in Structil High Mod rods and the connectors are by Trade Winds. Flown in a very light breeze at the Maasvlakte 2 beach. Thanks to Lars Fakkeldij for providing the kite. Enjoy!

    The Matrix is an open source trick kite designed by Mario di Biase and Alberto Cavati from Italy (custom sail design by me) which was also featured in OSTK episode 24. I always wanted to fly a kite at the former air force training grounds located at the Noordsvaarder, Terschelling. Unfortunately the whole area was flooded during my stay on the island and when i arrived at the location after the long bikeride and hike there was no wind. I managed to find a little dry corner and finally the wind picked up so i had just an hour of wind and daylight. This video was shot during that hour. Enjoy!

    The 3rd episode of 'PILOT' features Fred, Lucas, Bram, Marcel, Wilfred and Ronald who all perform the Half Axel trick at the Tricksparty Afterparty 2019, Ginkelse Heide. See description and how to vote below:


    Half Axel
    The trick starts with the kite flying horizontally in either direction, then falls onto its belly, turns nose away from the pilot, and rotates 180°. The kite is then snapped back into flight with the nose pointing exactly opposite the initial direction and should exit in a straight line.


    Wind: variable, bumpy, with gusts up to 35 km/h

  • Back To The Old School: HQ M-Light | IckyTV

    The M-Light is a small light wind trick kite (width: 160 cm) designed by Christoph Fokken for HQ Kites. It was released in 2002/2003 so the term "old school" is debatable... It feels like a classic kite, but it's capable of some modern moves. Flown in a smooth island breeze at low tide at De Boschplaat, Terschelling. Thanks to Bram for providing the kite. Enjoy.

    The 540 is a single 540° belly-down rotation initiated from a flare. IN is a vertical flight down, OUT is straight up.

  • Game of T.R.I.C.K. #1 | IckyTV

    Challenge your mates to a game of T.R.I.C.K.
    Rock Paper Scissors to decide who goes first (offence). Offence performs a trick of choice. Defence needs to do the same trick. If defence fails to do the trick he gets a letter. If you have 5 letters you lose. If offence fails his trick (or does it very sketchy), offence/defence roles are reversed. For the last letter you get 2 attempts. If defence does a sketchy trick offence can offer a second try. It’s not allowed to repeat tricks during a game. You can decide to allow combinations or series of tricks for added difficulty.


    Filmed at the Zandmotor beach in about 20-25 km/h wind. Kites used: 90Nine STD. Edit by Lars. English subtitles available (CC).

    The first episode of 'PILOT' features Andre, Lars, Lucas and Carlo who all perform the Lazy Susan trick at the Zandmotor beach near Kijkduin. See description and how to vote below:



    Rolling susan



    From a horizontal line, in the lower half of the window, roll into a backflip with the lower wing, the same wing is used for a lazy susan rotation but is pulled out early and sideways, out continuing the horizontal line.
