Despite the price with mixed opinions about the build quality of the kite, I have ordered this little brother of the Fulcrum at Atelier Kites. (Spiderkites didn't have the colour I wanted in stock)
I am very curious to see how it will handle and what this kite is capable of: looking forward to a different way of flying. -
Using dogstakes looks like a very interesting way to fly! I've been looking for information on it for a few months now. It looks like the designs improved quite a lot over the years with the usage of pulleys. I've come across the CAD-files from HKuehl in the download section, which is a great resource, but without proper machining tools and adequate skills in machining it still looks pretty daunting to me! Looking at the small amount of times they've been made and sold over the years I am not sure if I will ever get a hold of one of these beautiful contraptions. They look as pleasing to the eye as they are functional.
Unfortunate that something like that is simply a niché within an already niché hobby.
