Great color scheme, Tullo. Do let us know what you think of the Escape.

It is a 6mm brass rod glued into the nock at the base of the spine.

Great kite. I bought Knut's custom EoL, which has a more radical framing than thestandard spec, and had my first long session on it in gusty 8-12mph
winds on SaturdayThe trick timing is a bit different to the Magnet XLs I have spent most of the last year flying, but the fact that I could do every trick in my book on a first flight in less than ideal winds is testament to the quality of Birger's kite.
It's a shame Birger's stopped building, because the build quality is excellent, but it's fantastic news that is now available as an open plan. Good on you, Birger

I am a keen dinghy sailor who happens to fly kites, so just got a rope that I knew was tough enough to last.
The rope I selected was a Marlow 2mm rope with a 16plait polyester cover over a twisted polyester core. There is a dyneema equivalent, but it is twice the price and I did not think the stretch on such a short piece of rope justified the additional spend on the dyneema cored version.
I have used FSE Robline Dinghy Control Line and that is a nice rope. The cover is a lot softer than the equivalent Marlow, but do not see that is an issue for this application.

The rope is 2mm sailing rope with a tough tightly woven polyester cover over a polyester core. Liros or FSE Robline will make something similar and may be more available in Germany.

Very nice set, Birger!

Love the (not so) neon green on the LW.Agreed. Two of my favorite magnet color schemes.

Great colour (or should I say color) choice, Paul.

I found the Pro difficult to taz and backspin, but wasn't sure whether the bridle was right on the one I tried. Did you have any problems?
