modifications for this #2 Tricktail were:

Static 3 point bridle (no sliding)
APA's for lower spreader
Two standoffs
yoyo stop
No trickline
Sliding (adjustable) 3 gram keel weight
wingtips have 1 gram ceramic inside
Modified spine (lighter weight upper spine and spiral wound fiberglass lower spine)
lower spreader position was moved upward (obviously)
reinforced trailing edge

I have eight Tricktail kites of varying conditions & weights. I wanted this one to be a bit more modern feeling and faster paced yet would still be able to fly in low winds (2-6 mph) I was tired of waiting for the "NEW" Tricktail so i made my own. BTW I keep most of my Tricktails unmodified. Only varying the standoff lengths to what feels correct at the moment. That was about as far as I had gone for modifications until now. This model is #2 and I am happy with its performance. When is the last time you did a backspin with your Tricktail? The Taz machine had been fairly simple on the un-modified Tricktail and with the modification, Taz machine is very easy to perform and rotates at a faster pace which is exactly what I was looking for. I am now in the process of making a 2.1m Tricktail utilizing these modifications. I would love to see videos of you guys flying your Tricktails. Do any of you have any? I am very interested in seeing how people are flying their Tricktails.
